Mengsk is trying to regain power. SoK now officially and openly includes what is left of Umoan Protectorate, Kel-Morian Combine and some remainders of the Terran Confederency. There is a rumor that someone met Arcturus Mengsk and offered to take the lead. Mengsk declined the offer obssesively but he is said to be extremely surprised about meeting this shaded person.

Allied with the Protoss, they are trying to rebuild a human civilization, this time in a better way. Military growth is first priority, war is a harsh teacher; they expect any sort of attacks. They have a special hatred for Zerg and especially Kerrigan.

The rumors about Mengsk's shady contact goes on. It is said that this person, being harshly rejected by Artcturus, now managed to bring together the ashes of the old Terran Confederency and leading them with subtlety

UED
A small, passive and secret force remains around Koprulu Sector. Main force is being re-built on Earth, using what information gathered on the rival species so far. The small force continues to inform earth with espionage and infiltration on Protoss and Zerg, as much as they can.

Survivors (not an official name)
All Protoss that survived is in Shakuras, trying to rebuild their force. As both Aiur and Shakuras, two main Protoss lands were overrun by the Zerg, Protoss is left without their luxury of warping buildingds and obliged to use conventional methods for building and growth. They are linked with the Raynor's forces on all terms, socially, culturally and militarily. War thaught them to put aside their pride (eventhough Aiur-survivors can never really accept that).

Main Force (name?)
Led by the infamous Queen of Blades, the main Zerg force, after their long lasting war, is patching their wounds and further assimilating and exploring the genes of the races they encountered. Kerrigan, with total control over the Zerg and left unmatched by the death of the overmind, tries to ressurrect the dead cerebrates like Daggoth to serve her.
Leader: Queen of Blades (formerly Sarah Kerrigan)
Location: All over their path from Char in the core of galaxy to Aiur in the fringes.
Second Force (name?)
As the former possesor of Queen of Blades, Overmind knew that if Kerrigan was ever to set loose, she would be very powerful. Serving as the first example of a psionically-enchanted infested terran to help Overmind defeat and assimilate Protoss, just before the energies of Dark Templar slew the beast, Overmind knew a new chapter was to unfold. But when he awakened, the Overmind knew what to do. He transferred his essence, combining it with his chosen Cerebrate and left an even weaker Overmind in Char, letting three of his best remaining Cerebrates to guard it; to make sure his rivals assume these powerful cerebrates were guarding the Overmind itself. Now somewhere in the deep void of space, Overmind masks his presence using the psionic gene patterns he acquired. Everscheming and watching, he waits for the right time to strike and claim his precious creation before assimilating every single being he encountered.

Stukov's Force (name?)
Killed, ressurrected, infested and captured; the psychic Stukov had his share of fear and pain. An attempt was made to uninfest Stukov, but things didn't really work as planned. Stukov did not find himself as a human but a very strong Zerg Psychic with free will, very similar to the very Queen of Blades herself. Once an honorable man (at least by human standards), all he lived through drew Stukov to insanity. He swore an oath to make all who contributed to his peril suffer, who referred to pretty much everyone he ever knew. He also swore to spread this "condition" he has,
so they would know a bit of what he had been through. Combining his humanly ambitious soul and the adaptation of Zerg with a sadistic touch and combining it with a great psychic power (which was weaker as a human but increased when his
mind touched the Protoss devices and drew some of their power) he became a threat to all that lives. Using his resourcefulness to research on psychic genes and gene-modification with no ethics at all, Stukov stands as a considerable foe.
